Fighting Against Forced Labour/Child Labour in Supply Chains
May 29, 2024
On January 1, 2024, the new Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (the Act) came into effect. The Act mandates Canadian companies, that meet certain criteria, to publish an annual report describing their corporate policies and due diligence related to forced labour and child labour. The intent of the Act is to increase industry awareness, and transparency, and drive businesses to improve practices.
Boundary Co-op is committed to identifying potential child and forced labour risks within our supply chains and implementing policies and guidelines to address and reduce these exploitive practices.
