Boundary Co-op Community Builders Fund program

At Boundary Co-op, we know the importance of community, and we are proud to support community projects that bring people together. That’s why we created the Boundary Co-op Community Builders Fund to help build, beautify, and improve spaces in our trading area.  Boundary Co-op will invest in the communities we serve by contributing funds to support projects that improve places where our families, friends, and neighbours meet, play, learn, and share.

The Boundary Co-op Community Builders Fund is focused on improving community health and wellness by helping to build spaces for people to come together, build social connections, and enable community development.  In keeping with our ongoing commitment to enrich lives and the communities we serve, proposed projects can apply to receive $20,000 in capital funding in four categories: recreation, community resources, social, and environmental conservation.

The Boundary Co-op Community Builders Fund represents an evolution in how we give.  It builds on the legacy of programs like the former Community Spaces program funded by Federated Co-operatives Limited, and demonstrates our desire to invest in projects that leave a lasting mark; projects from which today's and future generations can benefit.  This is about supporting initiatives that do more than meet an immediate need.  It is about helping create spaces and places that bring people together, inspire community pride, and contribute to long-term wellbeing.

How it works:

• Submit an application through the online form, July 1 — August 1, 2026.
• Applications will be reviewed and the recipient will be chosen at the discretion of Boundary Co-op.
• Preference will be given to those projects which align with Boundary Co-op's values of Responsibility, Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
• Successful applicants will be contacted within six (6) weeks of the application period closing.

Boundary Co-op works hard to assist as many community organizations as possible, however only one applicant will be selected annually as the recipient of the Community Builders Fund.  As such, your application may not be approved.  Such a response does not reflect upon the value of your project, or the valuable service you provide.

Boundary Co-op has partnered with Do Some Good to power our application forms.  All Boundary Co-op Community Builders Fund applications must be submitted through this portal.  By filling out the application, you are agreeing to the guidelines; please be sure to review them before you complete the application.
