June 18, 2026

Boundary Co-op hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting Thursday, June 18 at the Boissevain Administration Office. Twenty-six members were in attendance.

Board President, Elmer McCallum, called the meeting to order and followed with a land acknowledgement. He then introduced the current Board of Directors. President McCallum welcomed members to the meeting and Debbie Graham volunteered to be Secretary. A moment of silence followed for members who have passed this past year. He then gave some opening remarks and the approval of the agenda was carried.

Secretary Debbie Graham shared the minutes of the last Annual Meeting. No business arose from the minutes and there was no old business to report.

Elmer McCallum delivered the Board Report and a quick overview of this past year. There were 10 regular board meetings in 2025. Elmer highlighted the ongoing renovation and expansion project at Deloraine Home Centre; noting the addition of liquor, a convenience store, new pumps, and expanded hours. Jackie Mitchell, Debbie Graham, Sheila Lockhart and Elmer McCallum attended the June District 5 Meeting in Brandon. Directors also attended the Annual Leadership Conference in Edmonton, which featured a tour of the Distribution Centre there. Directors were impressed with the efficiency and scale of the operation as it works to fill orders to all retails across Western Canada.

Office Manager Tyler Gauthier reviewed Boundary Co-op's Financial Report ending January 31, 2026. A copy of the full financial report is linked below.

Our retail continues to invest a great deal in all communities, including an interior refresh at Killarney Food Store and the renovation and expansion project at Deloraine Home Centre. The Gas Bar/C-Store will be incorporated into the Deloraine Home Centre which is undergoing an extensive renovation, including an updated exterior and the installation of new pumps which will offer all grades of fuel and Pay-at-the-Pump convenience. Ryan also presented the list of Service Award recipients and expressed his appreciation to all team members for their hard work this past year. Ryan also took a moment to recognize the retirement of Controller, Judy Adams, after nearly 40 years of service. He thanked her for her dedicated service, commenting that "Judy always does it right".

No election was held this year; Directors Debbie Graham and Ben Heide resume their seats as they were acclaimed. The Board now sits at seven members: Debbie Graham, Jackie Mitchell, Keith Cassan, Elmer McCallum, Ben Heide, Kirbie Cooper, and Sheila Lockhart. McCallum stated that there is still room on the Board and they would gladly welcome new directors.
